COVID-19: Another Four patients discharge in Lagos sate


The Lagos State Government on Friday said another set of four confirmed cases of the dreaded COVID-19 disease have been discharged in the state.
This latest development is coming after 11 others were discharged same Friday.
The state Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, disclosed this at a news conference on Friday.
23 patients have so far been treated of the disease and discharged in Lagos.

Federal Government Asks Churches, Mosques, Others To Submit Guidelines For Reopening

He urged other organisations and communities to come up with similar guidelines to expedite the process of safely reopening the economy. T he Director-General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu, has asked professional groups and faith-based organisations, including churches and mosques, to submit guidelines for reopening to the NCDC to review and advise. Gov. Of Niger State sets to begin production of face masks

Niger State Governor, Abubakar Bello, said Saturday night the state government would liaise with the Association of Fashion Designers to embark on mass production of face masks to check the spread of coronavirus. The governor, who disclosed at a media briefing in Minna, said because of the difficulties in procuring the mask and its high cost, the government had liaised with tailors to commence mass production of face masks for easy purchase. The National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) had on Friday, announced an index case of coronavirus in Niger State. Bello said: “We are liaising with our tailors to start developing locally made face masks. “Although there is no complete evidence that face mask can prevent one from contacting the virus, but when a positive person sneezed and one is wearing the mask, it can prevent the spread of the disease. “The idea is to reduce the spread when wearing mask.
