COVID-19: Commissioner confirms 115 cases in Lagos as state loses another patient



Lagos State Commissioner of Health, Professor Akin Abayomi has confirmed that the state now has a record of 115 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
He also announced that the state has recorded a second death to the dreaded virus.
In a statement on his Twitter account-@ProfAkinAbayomi, the commissioner said the second person to die of coronavirus in Lagos was a 36 year old Nigerian male.
He wrote, “We lost a #COVID19 patient; a 36 year old Nigerian, male who died in a private facility on 4th April, 2020. Total number of #COVID19 patients who have died are now 2
“One case was evacuated bringing total evacuated to 2.
Let’s #StaySafe #ForAGreaterLagos.”
He also announced that the state as at morning of April 5, had six new confirmed cases of COVID-19 “bringing total confirmed cases to 115.”
He added, “A #COVID19 patient was discharged on 4th April, 2020. The number of #COVID19 patients who have fully recovered and discharged (in Lagos State) are now 24.
