Makinde to leaders: serve with humility


•’Govt to reform civil service’
Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has urged people occupying positions of authority at all levels of government to ensure they imbibe the sense of humility and do what is right at all times.
According to him, such positions are transient.
The governor disclosed his desire to reform the civil service and put in place infrastructure for e-governance through training and retraining of the workforce.
Makinde spoke yesterday at the swearing-in for individuals to fill vacant positions.
While Justice Aderonke Aderemi was sworn in as President, Oyo State Customary Court of Appeal, Ms Felicia Oyediran, Mrs. Adenike Olufadewa and Mrs. Moradeyo Olukemi were inaugurated as the Perm Secretary/Clerk, Oyo State House of Assembly (OYHA), Perm Secretary, OYHA Commission and Perm Secretary, School Administration.
Others are members of the Board, Oyo State Civil Service Commission, to be chaired by Mr. Kamorudeen Aderibigbe.
Addressing top government functionaries as well as top judicial officers led by the Chief Judge, Munta Abimbola, after the oath of office and oath of allegiance had been administered on Justice Aderonke Aderemi, Governor Makinde said that the appointment was made without any political or religious colouration and gender bias.
